IMPORTANT – YOUNG CARERS CLUBS UPDATE
Did you know Herefordshire Young Carers Club is entirely funded by grants and donations? Originally part of Herefordshire Carers Support, when that organisation ended in 2019, the funding for Young and Young Adult Carers was transferred to hvoss – Herefordshire (Herefordshire Voluntary Organisations Support Service).
The current Children in Need grant that funds the bulk of our work ends on March 31st. At the time of writing, I have been unable to obtain confirmation that there will be funding available to continue to provide clubs after the Easter break so have been unable to provide you with any dates for next term. I am very sorry to say that there may be no more clubs until further notice.
In more positive news, hvoss have been successful in securing #iWill funding for Young and Young Adult Carers to take part in some exciting activities relating to youth social action this year (and I expect they’ll be updating you on how to get involved with that in the next few weeks). Rest assured, everyone at Herefordshire Young Carers Club is working hard to secure ongoing support for all our Young and Young Adult Carers and we will keep you posted on any changes to this situation.
